Why We Must Fight by WoadedFox Why We Must Fight by WoadedFox
For the forests, rivers and hills, that is why...
Ever seen a La Tane or Hallstatt late bronze age sword? well now you have! ;)
here is some pagan art, biased on Celtic works with Celtic Knots, animals and the sword style. Note that the Celts, or any other pagan culture would not have emphasized foxes like this in their art. foxes were believed to be guides to the fairy world (there is some ancient Celtic word for it but i can't remember that) which is like the Celtic afterlife. this is because foxes only seem to appear in the twilight periods so dawn and dusk and therefore carry a mystique about them to the Celts. The more you know mmmmm yes indeed "a moment please while i just adjust my monocle" :P.
Well anyway, hope you like this, its all done in pencil on an A3 page.
Matt :)

Glad you like it :) this type of sword is called a La Tane Sword. La Tane is the name used to describe Celtic art work, it was a period covering the late bronze age. look up la tane swords and you can find many different variations. :)
