And then option number three turned out to be nothing more than a horrible dream, with Fox waking up to find Krystal peacefully right beside him. The end. :D

(Seriously though, I can understand how it might make for some interesting drama, but thank god Command isn't actually canon).

Yah. I do like CERTAIN things the Command brought to the series (Peppy's family, allowing more interpretation for the characters, the possibility of Fox and Krystal having a child who succeeds his parents)... but the majority of it was one grand miss-step.

Fox is an idiot. Krystal became an indecisive idiot. Falco is whinnier than Slippy ever was (funnily enough, Slippy got off OK, he got himself a wife!). Katt was unrecognizable. Wolf was less of a badass. Panther became a complete moron, lacking any prior charm. Pigma and Andrew somehow survived their deaths in the previous game with no explanation... And the plot... was mixed all over the place. To name a few.

yeah that is true, i played most of it to find out if fox would ever find Krystal again and got up to the chaper where they get back together. after playing through a shed load of depressing endings, i could not be bothered to finish this chapeter.

so i guess that spells out the games faults in a way for me.
and yeah, Slippy you Playa! ;)

In fairness, the endings where her and Fox do get back together do outnumber those where they don't by at least one, so there is that.
And coupled with them ignoring Command, it seems Nintendo intend for Fox and Krystal to stay together until a new game reveals more info.

Though that said, the bad endings are... depressing. Since they all seem to hint that Fox and Krystal will end up miserable for the rest of their lives due to being apart.

yeah i hope (if they make a new game) that Fox and Krystal do get together. i remember playing the end to assault and thinking what a bad and disappointing ending it was (mainly because the two did not get together at the end) but also that it kind of left the SF team in a really bad situation.

They had no mother ship, were indebted to the wolf team and general pepper (their souse of payment) was ill and almost dead. :P haha

I liked the ending to Assault personally. I mean sure, a lot of crap happened, but it did end on a rather happy and hopeful note in spite of all that, and most importantly, they still had each other.
Hopefully the next game will actually continue on from that point, instead of anything Command has shown.

Heck, at least Assault actually had an ending... not nine.
